This session is an introduction to using several similar styles of math tasks, originally developed by Dan Meyer as 3-Act Tasks. Participants will experience the student side of a 3-Act Task, followed by a dive into exploring the wide variety of tasks already developed by different teachers for various standards. Tobi Nielsen is a 6th grade Math & Science Teacher in Alum Rock with experience teaching students a wide variety of academic and language levels. Shs is a FAME17 graduate & a MERIT18 participant.
