If we want to support our students and their successful futures, they need a balanced education. Recent research focuses on the need of explicit Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons in our classrooms. This is even more important as the number of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder increases each year. Educators need to find ways to address this area in a way that is student friendly, educational, and engaging. Minecraft hits the sweet spot of all three. Session will include specific K-12 examples of SEL development so participants will walk away with models, knowledge, practice, and ways they can immediately apply with students who need it most.

Empathy and Design Thinking drive the work I do with students. When we give them the right tools, their curiosity and creativity shines. Let's talk so we can find ways to make your own ideas a reality.
